For 2027, the main Hajj days (8th to 13th Dhul Hijjah 1448) are expected to run from Friday 14 May to Wednesday 19 May 2027, with the Day of Arafah on Saturday 15 May and Eid al-Adha on Sunday 16 May. Hajj Day by Day — What to Expect (8–13 Dhul Hijjah)

Knowing the sequence before you travel helps you perform each rite calmly. This is the order of the Hajj days for 2027. Your Mu'allim guides you through every step in person.

Day 1 — 8 Dhul Hijjah (Fri 14 May): Mina

You enter the state of Ihram and travel to Mina, where you spend the day and night in prayer, reciting the Talbiyah. This day is called Yawm al-Tarwiyah. Most of the day is spent resting and worshipping in preparation for Arafah.

Day 2 — 9 Dhul Hijjah (Sat 15 May): Arafah and Muzdalifah

The Day of Arafah is the heart of Hajj. After Fajr you travel to the plain of Arafah and stand in du'a and remembrance until sunset — the Prophet (peace be upon him) said Hajj is Arafah. After Maghrib you move to Muzdalifah, where you combine Maghrib and Isha, spend the night under the open sky, and gather pebbles for the next day.

Day 3 — 10 Dhul Hijjah (Sun 16 May): Eid al-Adha

You return to Mina and stone the largest pillar, Jamrat al-Aqaba. Your Qurbani (sacrifice) is performed, then men shave or trim their hair and women trim a small amount, and you come out of Ihram. Many pilgrims travel to Makkah to perform Tawaf al-Ifadah and Sa'i before returning to Mina. This is the day of Eid al-Adha.

Days 4 & 5 — 11 and 12 Dhul Hijjah (Mon–Tue 17–18 May): Days of Tashreeq

You stay in Mina and stone all three Jamarat each afternoon, spending the nights in Mina in worship. These are the days of Tashreeq.

Day 6 — 13 Dhul Hijjah (Wed 19 May): Final stoning and farewell

Pilgrims who remain for the third day perform the final stoning. Before leaving Makkah, you perform Tawaf al-Wada — the farewell circling of the Kaaba — which completes your Hajj.

How Booking Hajj From the UK Works

Hajj travel is tightly regulated, and it is worth understanding how it works before you book. All pilgrims need an official Hajj visa, which is separate from a tourist or Umrah visa, and every pilgrim must be registered through the Saudi government's Nusuk platform. Saudi Arabia has publicly warned against unauthorised agents and fake Hajj permits, so you should only ever book through an approved, ATOL-protected operator. We are an approved operator; we handle your Nusuk registration and Hajj visa as part of the package, and every flight-inclusive booking is ATOL-protected. Places are capped each year by the UK Hajj quota, which is why early booking matters.

Hajj Visa Requirements for UK Pilgrims

All UK pilgrims need a Hajj visa, which we apply for on your behalf as part of the package. You will need:

A valid UK passport (at least 6 months' validity beyond the Hajj dates)
Two recent passport photographs on a white background
Proof of Nusuk Hajj registration (we handle this for you)
A meningococcal ACWY vaccination certificate (mandatory for all Hajj pilgrims)
Proof of accommodation booking (included in your package)

On travelling companions: women of any age can now perform Hajj without a mahram, travelling as part of an approved group — the old rule requiring a mahram for women under 45 no longer applies. We run supported group arrangements for women travelling without a mahram. Visa processing usually takes four to eight weeks once documents are submitted, so start as soon as your package is confirmed.

Hajj Preparation and Packing Checklist

A little preparation makes a long pilgrimage far easier. Alongside your documents, we suggest:

Two sets of Ihram garments for men; modest, loose clothing for women (no face covering or gloves in Ihram)
Comfortable, worn-in sandals or shoes you can slip on and off easily
Unscented soap, toothpaste and toiletries for use in Ihram
