What Is Included in an All-Inclusive Umrah Package?
An all-inclusive Umrah package from Islamic Travel Agency UK covers your whole trip in one price. You get return flights from your nearest UK airport, your Umrah visa, a hotel in Makkah, a hotel in Madinah, transfers at both airports, the coach or car between the two cities, and guided ziyarat while you are there. You book once and pay once. Prices start at £349 per person. Many of our customers have been thinking about their first Umrah for years. Our job is to make sure nothing spoils it.
One thing we should be clear about. On an Umrah package, "all-inclusive" does not mean meals, the way it would on a beach holiday. Every agency uses the word the same way we do: flights, visa, hotels and transfers in one price. Meals are extra on our cheaper packages, though we can add them. Everything that is not included is listed below so there are no surprises.

What is not included
We would rather tell you now than let you find out at the airport. These costs are extra with every agency, not just us.
- Meals. 3-star packages are room only. Most 4 and 5-star hotels include breakfast. We can add half board or full board to any package.
- Travel insurance. You arrange your own.
- The meningitis ACWY jab. UK pharmacies charge £40 to £70. You cannot enter Saudi Arabia for Umrah without it.
- Extra baggage. Anything over the airline's allowance, including Zamzam water, is paid to the airline.
- Your own spending: food outside the hotel, gifts, taxis, shopping.
- Private transfers on packages that do not already include them.
If you keep £100 to £150 per person aside for the jab, insurance and day-to-day spending, you will not be caught out.

Does a Higher Star Rating Put You Closer to the Haram?
In Makkah, no. A lot of agencies let you believe that a better hotel means a shorter walk. With our hotels that is not true, and you should know before you book. Our 3-star hotels are 800 to 900 metres from Masjid al-Haram. Our 4-star hotels are 1.0 to 1.3 kilometres away. So going from 3-star to 4-star in Makkah gets you a better room, a bigger hotel and breakfast. It does not get you a shorter walk.
The exception is the Clock Tower complex (Abraj Al Bait). The Swissôtel at 225 metres, the Makkah Clock Royal Tower at 340 metres and the Pullman ZamZam at 350 metres are the only hotels we use that are within five minutes of the Haram. That is what you are paying for with a 5-star package. Madinah is different. Our 3-star hotels there are about 800 to 950 metres from Masjid an-Nabawi, our 4-star hotels 450 to 760 metres, and the Anwar Al Madinah Mövenpick 350 metres.
So here is what we tell people. If money is tight, book 3-star. If you want to be close to the Haram, skip 4-star and go straight to one of the three Clock Tower hotels. If you want a nicer room, a quiet floor and breakfast, book 4-star and don't worry about the extra ten minutes.
Why Are Our Umrah Packages Cheaper Than Most Agencies?
Islamic Travel Agency UK keeps prices low by booking in bulk, using hotels a ten-minute walk from the Haram instead of next door to it, and using flights with a stop on the cheapest packages. Our Umrah packages for 2027 start at £349 for 5 nights: 3 nights in Makkah and 2 nights in Madinah. Most UK agencies start at £650 to £700 for the same thing. Here is how we do it.
- We book in bulk. We have been buying seats and rooms on the same UK to Jeddah routes for years, so we get trade prices, not the prices you see online.
- We don't pay for the nearest hotels on the cheap packages. Our £349 package puts you about 900 metres from Masjid al-Haram, a ten to twelve minute walk. A room 225 metres away is what takes a package past £890.
- We use flights with a stop on the cheapest packages. Going through Dubai, Doha or Istanbul saves a lot against a direct flight. It adds three to six hours to the journey.
- We don't include meals on 3-star packages. Food near the Haram is cheap and a lot of pilgrims like to choose their own.
- We tell you what costs extra. Haram view, direct flight, full board. We sell all of it, and you know the price before you pay.
The cheapest quote is not always the cheapest trip. Every year people come to us after paying a low price that did not include flights, or that put them forty minutes from the Haram without telling them. Our price covers the whole journey. You get the hotel name and walking distance in writing before you pay. And ATOL protection means that if a travel company goes bust, you get your money back or get brought home. If money is tight, going between September and November and booking early will save you more than looking for a lower headline price.
Which Umrah Package Is Right for You?
3-Star Umrah Packages
Our cheapest packages. Good for pilgrims watching what they spend, and for anyone who would rather stay longer than stay somewhere fancier. Families often book these. Rooms are simple and clean. Flights usually have one stop. Visa, transfers, transport between the cities and ziyarat are all included. Meals are not.
4-Star Umrah Packages
Everything in the 3-star package but with a better hotel: bigger, quieter rooms, breakfast at most hotels, lifts, and no steps to deal with. In Madinah you are closer to Masjid an-Nabawi. Most couples book these. If this is your first Umrah, this is what we would suggest.
5-Star Umrah Packages
Book these to be close to the Haram. We fly you direct where we can and transfers are private. Several of the Makkah hotels are in the Clock Tower complex with a covered walkway to the mosque. Good for anyone travelling with elderly parents or anyone who cannot walk far. A few rooms look onto the Kaaba. They go early, so ask well ahead.
Group and Solo Umrah Packages
We arrange group trips all year for mosques, community groups and big families. Four or more people usually pay less per person, and we meet the group leader before you fly. Solo pilgrims are welcome on any package. Saudi rules allow women aged 18 and over to do Umrah without a mahram. We also arrange women-only trips with a female guide.

Which Hotels Do Our Umrah Packages Use?
We use Emaar hotels for our 3 and 4-star packages in both cities, the Clock Tower hotels for 5-star in Makkah, and the Anwar Al Madinah Mövenpick for 5-star in Madinah. We confirm your exact hotel in writing before you pay, with the walking distance and the gate we measured to.
Our Makkah hotels
3-star. Emaar Andalusia Hotel, about 800 metres from Masjid al-Haram (nine to eleven minutes). Emaar Al Khalil Hotel, about 900 metres (ten to twelve minutes).
4-star. Emaar Grand Hotel, about 1.0 km (twelve to fifteen minutes). Al Ebaa Hotel and Palestine Hotel, about 1.1 km (thirteen to sixteen minutes). Grand Makkah Hotel by Araek, about 1.3 km (sixteen to twenty minutes).
5-star. Swissôtel Makkah, about 225 metres (three to five minutes). Makkah Clock Royal Tower, about 340 metres, and Pullman ZamZam Makkah, about 350 metres (four to six minutes). All three have a covered walkway to the mosque. We also use the Sheraton Makkah Jabal Al Kaaba at about 950 metres. If you are booking 5-star to be close, ask for one of the first three.

When Is the Best Time to Go for Umrah from the UK?
September to November is the best time for most UK pilgrims. Prices are at their lowest, the weather in Makkah is mild, and the Haram is less crowded than in Ramadan or December.
- September to November. Lowest prices, mild weather, smaller crowds.
- December. Popular with UK families because of the school holidays. Book early. See December Umrah packages.
- Ramadan. The biggest reward and the highest prices. Ramadan 2027 is expected to start on the evening of Sunday 7 February 2027. The last ten nights sell out months ahead. See Ramadan Umrah packages.
- May to August. Quieter and cheaper, but it is often over 40°C in Makkah during the day.
Which UK Airports Do You Fly From?
We fly from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds Bradford and Glasgow. A direct flight from London to Jeddah takes about six hours. A flight with a stop in Dubai, Doha or Istanbul takes nine to twelve hours and costs less. Heathrow has the most direct flights to Jeddah. From Glasgow it is normally one change. Most pilgrims fly into Jeddah. Some packages fly into Madinah and go to Makkah afterwards.
How Do You Choose a Good Umrah Package?
Ask the agency these eight questions. The answers will tell you more than any "best Umrah packages" list.
- Is it ATOL protected, and can you check the number? Look it up at caa.co.uk. Ours is 12192.
- Does the price include flights? This is where most people get caught out.
- Will they tell you the hotel before you pay? In writing, with the distance.
- How far is the hotel in walking minutes, and to which gate?
- Are transfers included, including between Makkah and Madinah?
- Who does the visa, and how? It should be through Nusuk, and the agent should do it for you.
- Can you reach someone in the UK while you are away?
- Can you check the reviews? Look for a live Trustpilot or Google page.
What Has Changed for Umrah in 2027?
Everything goes through Nusuk. Saudi Arabia's official platform handles Umrah permits and visa applications, and you book your Rawdah prayer in Madinah through the Nusuk app. We set this up before you fly. Permits are free. Never pay anyone for one. UK passport holders have more visa options. Most of our pilgrims travel on the Saudi tourist e-visa. It lasts one year, allows multiple entries, and lets you do Umrah outside the Hajj season. The normal Umrah visa is still available too. Prices have moved. Hotels near the Haram have got more expensive as new towers open and old cheap hotels are knocked down. Booking early matters more than it used to.

ATOL is a UK government scheme run by the Civil Aviation Authority. If a travel company goes bust, ATOL refunds you or brings you home if you are abroad. Every package we sell with flights is covered under ATOL 12192. You can check that at caa.co.uk.
What happens if I need to cancel my Umrah package?
The £50 deposit is non-refundable. Once the balance is paid, refunds depend on how close you are to departure and on the airline and hotel terms. Changing your dates usually costs less than cancelling. You pay the airline change fee and any fare difference, and we don't charge anything on top.
