Last 10 Days Ramadan Umrah Packages 2027

Our Last 10 Days Ramadan Umrah packages cost £790 (3-star), £985 (4-star) and £1,239 (5-star) per person. They are seven nights with fixed dates. You land in Jeddah on Saturday 27 February 2027 and fly home on Saturday 6 March. This puts you in Makkah for the 21st, 23rd, 25th and 27th nights of Ramadan. Flights, visa, hotels and transfers are included. The last ten nights are the holiest nights of the year. Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Power, falls on one of the odd nights. The Qur'an says it is better than a thousand months (Surah al-Qadr, 97:3). Pilgrims come for these nights to pray Tarawih and Qiyam in the Haram, to look for Laylatul Qadr and to sit in I'tikaf. This is the busiest and most expensive part of Ramadan. The hotels closest to the Haram go first.

The odd nights of Ramadan 2027

The last ten nights are expected to start on the evening of Saturday 27 February 2027. The odd nights are expected to be:

  • 21st night: evening of Saturday 27 February
  • 23rd night: evening of Monday 1 March
  • 25th night: evening of Wednesday 3 March
  • 27th night: evening of Friday 5 March
  • 29th night: evening of Sunday 7 March

These dates depend on the moon sighting and may move by a day.

Arriving in time for the 21st night

Our Last 10 Days package flight lands in Jeddah on Saturday 27 February. Your transfer takes you straight to Makkah, so you are there for the 21st night. If you want a day or two to settle in before the crowds build, ask us to add extra nights at the start. Many pilgrims do. People who book their own flights often land on the 28th and miss the first odd night. Our package dates stop that from happening.

Why a hotel close to the Haram matters in the last ten nights

In the last ten nights, the Haram fills up hours before Isha. The courtyards and the streets around it fill after that. If your hotel is a kilometre away, the walk back at two in the morning through the crowds is tiring. If your hotel is two hundred metres away, you can go back, rest, eat and return for Qiyam. If your budget is tight, book a smaller room closer to the Haram rather than a bigger room further away. If you can afford 5-star, the last ten nights are the time to book it.

Staying for the 29th night and Eid

If you want to stay for the 29th night and Eid, tell us. We will add three nights and change your flight home. Flights home around Eid cost more. We also offer 10 and 14 night versions on request.

If you plan to sit in I'tikaf

Tell us when you book. It changes which hotel we recommend, how we arrange your Suhoor and Iftar, and whether fourteen nights would suit you better than seven.

1st, 2nd or 3rd Ashra: Which Should You Choose?

Choose the first ten days for the lowest price and the smallest crowds. Choose the last ten nights for Laylatul Qadr. Choose the middle ten days if you want Ramadan in Makkah at a middle price, or if you need the February half term. All three give you the full reward of Umrah in Ramadan.

1st Ashra (first ten days), from £669. The easiest part of Ramadan to travel in. It is busy but not too crowded, and prices are at their lowest. Good for first-time pilgrims, families with young children, older pilgrims and anyone on a budget.

2nd Ashra (middle ten days), from £695. In the middle on both price and crowds. A good choice if you want to feel Ramadan in Makkah without the crowds of the last ten nights, or if you need the half term dates.

3rd Ashra and Last 10 Days, from £765. The holiest part of the month, and the busiest. The 3rd Ashra package gives you seven nights with flexible dates. The Last 10 Days package, from £790, fixes your dates so you are in Makkah for the odd nights. Book this one first.

The last ten nights do not suit everyone. If you are travelling with young children or an elderly parent, we will tell you on the phone which part of Ramadan is best for you.

Accommodation Options in Makkah and Madinah

We tell you the name of your hotel in Makkah and Madinah, and how far it is from the Haram, in writing before you pay. This matters more in Ramadan than in any other month. In Ramadan you walk to the Haram five times a day, and for Tarawih at night. A hotel close to the Haram makes your trip much easier.

3-star Hotels

In Makkah we use Emaar Al Khalil, Emaar Andalusia and Al Ebaa. They are about 400 metres from Masjid al-Haram. In Madinah we use Emaar Taibah, Al Mokhtara Golden and Al Mokhtara Diamond Hotel. They are about 400 metres from Masjid an-Nabawi. The rooms are clean and simple. In Ramadan the walk takes a little longer, because the roads around the Haram are closed to cars at busy times. Most first-time pilgrims choose a 3-star package.

4-star Hotels

In Makkah we use Worth Elite, Grand Makkah Hotel and Emaar Grand Hotel. They are about 300 metres from the Haram. In Madinah we use Emaar Mektan, Emaar Elite, Swiss International Taba Al Salam and Waqf Othman Bin Affan Hotel. The rooms are bigger and the walk is shorter. Most families choose a 4-star package. In Ramadan these hotels sell out early, because the price and the distance are both good.

5-star Hotels

In Makkah we use Makkah Clock Royal Tower, Raffles Makkah Palace, Pullman ZamZam Makkah, Anjum Hotel, Hilton Makkah Convention and Address Jabal Omar. They are about 100 metres from Masjid al-Haram. Makkah Clock Royal Tower, Raffles and Pullman ZamZam are in the Abraj Al Bait complex, right next to the Haram. In Madinah we use Crowne Plaza, Emaar Royal and Leader Al Muna Kareem. Rooms with a view of the Kaaba are available on request. They go quickly, so ask when you book. At this distance you can go back to your room between prayers instead of waiting in the Haram for hours. In the last ten nights, this is the main reason to pay more for a 5-star hotel.

The hotels nearest the Haram sell out first. Call 0208 178 8400 and we will tell you what is available for your dates.

What Is Included in a Ramadan Umrah Package?

One price covers your return flights, your Umrah visa, your hotel in Makkah, your hotel in Madinah, all your transfers and guided ziyarat.

  • Return flights from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds Bradford or Glasgow
  • Your Umrah visa and your Ramadan Umrah permit through Nusuk. We do both for you.
  • A hotel in Makkah and a hotel in Madinah. We tell you the names and distances in writing before you pay.
  • Airport pick-up and drop-off, and transport between Makkah and Madinah
  • Guided ziyarat in both cities
  • Someone to call in the UK and in Saudi Arabia, day or night

Not included

  • Meals. We can add Suhoor and Iftar at the hotel, or full board, if you ask.
  • Travel insurance. Arrange your own. Check that it covers Saudi Arabia, because some UK policies do not.
  • The meningitis ACWY vaccination. It costs £40 to £70 at a UK pharmacy. You need it at least ten days before you fly. Without the certificate, you cannot get a visa.
  • Extra baggage, including Zamzam water. Airlines charge for this separately.
  • Your own spending on food outside the hotel, gifts and taxis. Keep £100 to £150 per person aside.

Five Mistakes Pilgrims Make on Ramadan Umrah

We have been arranging Ramadan Umrah trips since 2007. These are the five mistakes we see most often, and how we help you avoid them.

Booking the wrong part of Ramadan. Some pilgrims book the last ten nights because it is the holiest time. Then they find the crowds too much for their young children or elderly parents. We will tell you on the phone if the first ten days would be better for you.

Booking a hotel that is too far from the Haram. A hotel 1,200 metres from the Haram is a fifteen-minute walk in October. In Ramadan the roads are closed and the streets are full, so the same walk takes much longer. You will do it five times a day while fasting. That is why we tell you the distance in metres before you book.

Missing the Nusuk permit. Rawdah permits and Ramadan Umrah permits are released in small numbers and go quickly. Pilgrims who apply for their own often miss them. We apply for them as part of your package.

Fasting on the travel day without a plan. A long stopover in Dubai or Istanbul while fasting can leave you too tired to do Umrah when you arrive. Tell us if you plan to fast on the travel day and we will book a flight that suits you.

Arriving too late for the 21st night. People who book their own flights often land on the 28th and miss the first odd night. Our Last 10 Days packages land on the 27th, so you do not miss it.

Which Ramadan Package Is Right for You?

Families. The middle ten days fall in the February half term. We book rooms next to each other where the hotel allows this. Children and infants pay less. If your children are young, the first ten days are quieter. With children, a hotel close to the Haram is more important than an extra star.

Older pilgrims and anyone who finds walking difficult. The distance to the Haram is the most important part of your booking. If you find walking difficult, 800 metres five times a day while fasting is too far. Spend your money on a hotel close to the Haram, not on a higher star rating. Ramadan 2027 is in February, when the weather in Makkah is mild. This is good for older pilgrims. Bring your prescription medicine in its original packaging and a copy of your prescription.

Women travelling without a mahram. Under the current Saudi rules, women aged 18 and over can do Umrah without a mahram. We also arrange women-only trips with a female guide.

Groups and mosques. If four or more people book together, the price per person is usually lower. We arrange Ramadan trips for mosques, community groups and large families. We meet the group leader before you fly. If you want the last ten nights, tell us how many people are travelling by October.

On a budget. The cheapest way to do Umrah in Ramadan is a 3-star hotel in the first ten days. If you do not need to travel in Ramadan, our Umrah packages for 2027 start at £349 in the quieter months.

Why Do Umrah in Ramadan?

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that Umrah in Ramadan is equal to Hajj in reward. This hadith is narrated by Ibn Abbas and recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. Scholars say this means the reward only. Umrah in Ramadan does not replace Hajj. If you are able to do Hajj, you still have to do it. If you are planning Hajj, see our Hajj packages.

Ramadan in Makkah is different from any other time of year. You pray Tarawih behind the imams of the Haram. You break your fast with dates and Zamzam in front of the Kaaba. You spend the last ten nights in prayer with Muslims from all over the world.

Your Visa, Nusuk Permits and the Rawdah

Your Umrah visa is included in every package. We apply for it for you. You need a passport valid for at least six months after your return date, recent photographs with a white background and your meningitis ACWY certificate.

Saudi Arabia uses the Nusuk app to control the crowds in Ramadan. Nusuk gives out permits for Umrah and for praying in the Rawdah in Masjid an-Nabawi. Under the current rules, each pilgrim gets one Umrah permit during Ramadan. You can still pray in the Haram as often as you like. Permits are in high demand all month, and the ones for the last ten nights go first. We apply for your permits for you. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah sets the rules each year. We check them before you fly. Permits are free. Do not pay anyone for one.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do Ramadan Umrah packages cost from the UK?

Our Ramadan Umrah packages cost between £669 and £1,239 per person. This price includes your return flights from the UK, your Umrah visa, your hotels in Makkah and Madinah, and all your transfers. For the first ten days of Ramadan, a 3-star package is £669, a 4-star package is £779 and a 5-star package is £929. For the last ten days, a 3-star package is £790, a 4-star package is £985 and a 5-star package is £1,239. All of our Ramadan packages are for 7 nights. You can book with a £50 deposit and pay the rest monthly.

When is Ramadan 2027 in the UK?

Ramadan 2027 is expected to start on the evening of Sunday 7 February 2027. The first day of fasting is Monday 8 February. The last day of fasting is expected to be Tuesday 9 March. Eid al-Fitr is expected on Wednesday 10 March. These dates are based on the Islamic calendar. The final dates depend on the moon sighting and may be one day earlier or later.

When do the last 10 nights of Ramadan 2027 start?

The last ten nights of Ramadan 2027 are expected to start on the evening of Saturday 27 February 2027. That is the 21st night. The other odd nights are Monday 1 March (23rd night), Wednesday 3 March (25th night), Friday 5 March (27th night) and Sunday 7 March (29th night). Laylatul Qadr falls on one of these nights. The exact dates depend on the moon sighting and may move by one day.

What is a Last 10 Days Ramadan Umrah package?

A Last 10 Days Ramadan Umrah package is a seven-night Umrah trip during the last ten nights of Ramadan. The dates are fixed. You fly out on 27 February 2027 and fly home on 6 March 2027. This means you are in Makkah for the 21st, 23rd, 25th and 27th nights of Ramadan. The price starts at £790 per person and includes your flights, visa, hotels and transfers. More people book this package than any other, so it sells out first.

Why are the last 10 days of Ramadan more expensive?

More people want to travel in the last ten days than at any other time of year. The number of hotel rooms near the Haram is limited, and the airlines put their prices up. This is why the last ten days cost more. Our last ten days packages cost £120 to £310 more per person than our first ten days packages. The exact difference depends on the hotel you choose. If you book early, you pay less.

How far will I be from the Haram?

Our 5-star hotels are 100 to 200 metres from the Haram. Our 4-star hotels are about 300 metres away. Our 3-star hotels are about 400 metres away. All of them are close enough to walk to every prayer. In Ramadan the walk takes a bit longer than usual, because the roads around the Haram are closed to cars at busy times and the streets are full of people.

Which is better, the first 10 days or the last 10 nights of Ramadan?

It depends on what you want. The first ten days are cheaper and there are fewer people. This is the better choice for families with young children, older pilgrims and anyone going for the first time. The last ten nights are the holiest nights of the year, but they are also the most crowded and the most expensive. This is the better choice if you want to be in Makkah for Laylatul Qadr. You get the full reward of Umrah in Ramadan whichever one you choose.

Is Umrah in Ramadan equal to Hajj?

In reward, yes. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that Umrah in Ramadan is equal to Hajj. This hadith is in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. It means you get the same reward as Hajj. It does not mean you no longer need to do Hajj. Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam, and you still have to do it if you are able to.

Do I need a Nusuk permit for Umrah in Ramadan?

Yes, you do. Saudi Arabia gives each pilgrim one Umrah permit during Ramadan. You get it through the Nusuk app. You also need a different permit to pray in the Rawdah in Madinah. We apply for both permits for you, so you do not need to do anything. The permits are free. Do not pay anyone who offers to sell you one.

Can I fast and do Umrah on the same day?

Yes, you can. Most pilgrims do their Umrah after Fajr. The area around the Kaaba is at its quietest then, and it is cooler. In February the daytime temperature in Makkah is around 28°C, so most people find it fine to do Umrah while fasting. If you are worried about it, do your Umrah early in the morning and rest in your hotel through the afternoon.

How far ahead should I book Ramadan Umrah?

If you want the last ten nights of Ramadan 2027, book by October 2026. For any other part of Ramadan, book by December 2026. The hotels near the Haram are usually fully booked six to nine months before Ramadan. Flight prices also go up from November, so the earlier you book, the less you pay.

What happens if Ramadan starts a day earlier or later?

Ramadan dates depend on the moon sighting, so they can move by a day. When the dates are announced, we check your booking. If your flights or hotel need to change, we change them for you. There is no charge from us. Some airlines charge a fee to change a flight. We tell you before you book if your flight can be changed and what the airline charges.

Are Ramadan Umrah packages ATOL protected?

Yes. Every booking with flights is ATOL protected, licence number 12192. You can check that number on the CAA website. If you book your own flights and take a hotel-only package, ATOL protection does not apply.
