5 Star Ramadan Umrah Packages from £980
The closest hotels we offer 100 to 400 metres from the Haram, with some rooms overlooking the mosque. In the last 10 nights, when the area around the Haram is at its fullest, being two minutes from the gates is worth every pound to many pilgrims. Most of our 5-star hotels include iftar, and several include suhoor.
Two honest things to know about Ramadan pricing. First, Ramadan is the most expensive time of year for Umrah, as the same hotel can cost double its normal rate, which is why our year-round Umrah packages are the better choice if budget matters more than the season. Second, within Ramadan itself, the first 20 days cost noticeably less than the last 10. If you want the Ramadan reward at the lowest price, travel in the first half of the month.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that performing Umrah in Ramadan is equal in reward to performing Hajj with him. This hadith, recorded in both Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, is the reason millions of Muslims try to reach Makkah during this month.
There is nothing quite like the Haram in Ramadan. The mosque is alive through the night, with Taraweeh behind the Imams of the Haram, Quran recitation at every hour, and iftar shared with pilgrims from every country on earth. Fasting the day in Makkah and breaking your fast with dates and Zamzam water metres from the Kaaba is an experience pilgrims talk about for the rest of their lives.
Be prepared for the other side of it, too. Ramadan is the busiest time of year outside of Hajj. Tawaf takes longer, the mosque fills early for every prayer, and patience is part of the worship. We tell every pilgrim this before they book, because the right expectations make for a better pilgrimage.

Our last 10 days Ramadan Umrah packages are timed so you are in Makkah for the final ten nights of Ramadan, the nights the Prophet (peace be upon him) devoted to worship more than any other time, and the nights in which Laylatul Qadr falls.
How the timing works
To be present for all ten nights, you need to arrive in Makkah before Maghrib on the 20th day of Ramadan. For Ramadan 2027, that means flying from the UK around 24–26 February 2027. Our last 10-day packages are built around this: you arrive before the 21st night and stay through the odd nights the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th and 29th when Laylatul Qadr is most likely to fall. The Quran describes this night as better than a thousand months (Surah al-Qadr, 97:3).
Eid in Makkah or Madinah
Most of our last 10 days pilgrims stay for Eid al-Fitr, expected around 9 March 2027. Praying Eid at the Haram is a fitting end to the month. We can also route your final days through Madinah so you spend the last part of your trip at Masjid an-Nabawi. Tell us which you prefer, and we will build the package around it.
Itikaf during the last 10 nights
If you intend to perform itikaf, tell us when you book. Spending the final nights in worship at the Haram needs the right hotel as close as possible, so the walk at 2 am is minutes, not half an hour. We will recommend the closest available hotels for your budget and explain the practical side of itikaf at the Haram, including what recent Saudi arrangements allow. Rules for itikaf registration at the Haram change from year to year, so we will confirm the current process with you nearer the time.
Book last 10 days packages first
Be aware: last 10 days packages sell out before everything else. The whole Muslim world wants the same ten nights in the same city. Hotels within walking distance of the Haram for late February 2027 will be gone by autumn 2026, and prices only rise as the dates approach. If the last 10 nights are your goal, a £50 deposit now costs you nothing extra and locks your place waiting until December will cost you hundreds of pounds more, or the trip itself.

Umrah permits during Ramadan
In recent years, Saudi Arabia has managed Ramadan crowds through the Nusuk app, including permits for performing Umrah and visiting the Rawdah in Madinah, and limits on repeating Umrah during the month. The rules are updated each year before Ramadan. We handle the permit process for our pilgrims and will confirm the exact 2027 requirements with you before you travel — this is one of the main reasons to book Ramadan with a licensed agency rather than piecing the trip together yourself.
Fasting while you travel
Islamically, travellers are permitted to delay their fast and make it up later, and many pilgrims use this concession for the flight out. Once you are settled in Makkah, most pilgrims fast as normal — the day is structured around it, and iftar at the Haram is one of the joys of the trip. If you have a health condition, speak to your GP before you travel and ask us about hotels with the shortest walks.
Elderly pilgrims in Ramadan crowds
We are honest with families about this: Ramadan is wonderful, but it is the hardest time of year for elderly pilgrims or anyone with mobility problems. The crowds are at their peak, and walking distances inside the mosque grow when the nearest areas fill. If your parents are frail, consider the first 10 days of Ramadan rather than the last 10, book the closest hotel your budget allows, and ask us about wheelchair assistance for Tawaf and Sa'i. Sometimes the kindest advice is a quieter month — and we will say so if we think it is right for your family.
What a Ramadan day in Makkah looks like
First-time pilgrims often ask how the day works when everyone is fasting. Roughly: suhoor before Fajr (your hotel or the many restaurants open through the night), Fajr at the Haram, rest and worship through the morning, Dhuhr and Asr at the mosque, iftar at the Haram or your hotel at Maghrib, then Isha and Taraweeh, which at the Haram is long, beautiful and busy. Many pilgrims rest after Taraweeh and return for Tahajjud in the final hours of the night, especially in the last 10 days. Restaurants and shops in Makkah stay open late into the night during Ramadan.
Ramadan Tips for UK Umrah Pilgrims
Practical advice for British pilgrims, learned from years of sending groups to Makkah in Ramadan.
Pack for two seasons. You will leave a British February cold, wet, possibly frosty and land in 25–35°C heat a few hours later. Wear layers you can shed, and pack light, loose clothing and comfortable sandals you have already worn in. New footwear plus miles of marble is how pilgrims end up with blisters by day two.
Put your Ihram in your hand luggage. Flights from the UK to Jeddah cross the Miqat boundary before landing, so men need to be in Ihram before that point. Most pilgrims change at the departure airport or during a stopover. If your Ihram is in the hold, you have a problem at 38,000 feet. We brief every group on exactly when to change for their route.
Book your meningitis jab early. The ACWY vaccine must be given at least 10 days before you fly, and GP surgeries and travel clinics get busy before Ramadan. Book it as soon as your trip is confirmed. It costs around £60–£90 if your GP does not offer it.
The time difference works in your favour. Saudi Arabia is three hours ahead of the UK. Ramadan life in Makkah runs late into the night anyway, Taraweeh, then supper, then Tahajjud so most UK pilgrims adjust within a day or two. Sleep after Fajr and after Dhuhr, like the locals do.
Expect a slightly longer fast. In February, fasting hours in Makkah are close to the UK's, usually within an hour. The heat is the bigger adjustment, not the length. Stay out of the midday sun, and drink plenty of water and Zamzam between Maghrib and Fajr.
Sort your phone before you leave. Buy an eSIM or a Saudi SIM (available at Jeddah airport) rather than paying UK roaming charges. WhatsApp is the easiest way to keep in touch with family at home and with our team. Save our UK and Saudi numbers before you fly.
Money: cards work almost everywhere. Contactless payment is accepted in nearly every shop and restaurant in Makkah and Madinah. Carry some Saudi Riyals in cash for taxis and small purchases, tell your bank you are travelling, and consider a fee-free travel card to avoid charges on every purchase.
Agree a meeting point on day one. The Haram in Ramadan holds crowds beyond anything in Britain, phones lose signal inside, and families do get separated. Agree a fixed meeting point a numbered gate works well, and make sure everyone carries the hotel's card and our emergency number.
Bringing Zamzam home. Pilgrims can usually bring one sealed 5-litre bottle of Zamzam per ticket, bought at the airport and carried as special checked baggage. Rules vary by airline, so check yours before you fly. Do not pack Zamzam inside your suitcase, as it will be removed at security.
Families: check half term. Most UK schools' February half-term falls in mid-February 2027, which lands inside Ramadan. It is the one window where children can join a Ramadan Umrah without missing school and it is exactly when family rooms sell out first, so book those dates earliest of all.
